Is there any advantage to setting up individual Google Analytics accounts for each domain Vs. setting up all domains under 1 google analytics account?

Your thoughts?

When you say "for each domain," are you implying a separate email address and having to log in and out of Google Analytics each time? If so, you can set up multiple properties/sites within the same user name.

There are two main levels of the GA hierarchy: properties/sites and profiles. As mentioned, you can set up a whole bunch of accounts within each Google login. This makes the most sense because you can easily jump between projects. You can create different profiles within each property(i.e., on the same site, tracking parts of the same whole). If you are the only user, it makes the most sense to set up all of the properties/sites under the same Google user login, with one profile for each property/site.

It makes the most sense in simplicity sake.

But what I gain in simplicity I lose in anonymity. Others could easily uncover all my others sites through the google analytics account code (unless there is a way to mask this).

Plus, I'm revealing to google my ownership of all those other sites too.

But, alas, likely they have other was of tieing ownership together.

Just wondering if it would be worth it to setup seperate accounts for those 2 reasons. Or if I'm going through the extra hassle with no real payoff?

    Thoughts??

No one will "uncover your other sites"-- each property has a unique tracking ID. There is nothing that ties your properties together in the Google Analytics tracking code.

And if you're trying to hide site ownership from Google, good luck with that. lol
