Hi guys,
I read Matt Cutt's blog just now and the following is a sentence I copied from a guy's comment:
"After Penguin 2.0 update Google prefer only non SEO site.Like pump product Google ranked no SEO site.I feel when Penguin 5.0 come out Google ban SEO."
Is it true? After I checked the keyword "pump products" in google, the top rank site surly with no backlinks, god!

"Pump Products" is not a competitive keyword. Nobody is going to be targeting it in their SEO efforts, making it easy to rank for, even with very little backlinks.

Just try to check if you can get the same sort of result in hot niches like real estate, autos, cars, finance etc. The keyword you mentioned is low competitive and that's why you might have seens top ranking sites with few or no backlinks.

There are many factors that can affect a website and I don't think SEO will be going anywhere anytime soon. SEO is to get your site more visibility and a website with little or no SEO at all will have a hard time getting traffic.
