My 2 sites have disappeared from the front page of Google...

I had 2 websites from the same keywords and they are both gone from the first page. The home pages are nowhere to be seen. I only see some of my web pages which are scattered all around the index of Google. Could it be because I haven't built any backlinks in over 20 days? Any suggestions would be great.

    More information is needed to help you at all....

    A link would be best to investigate, but in lieu of that

    ~How old are the sites?
    ~How long on page 1?
    ~Are they sharing an IP?
    ~Are they link between themselves?
    ~Buying Links?

    Lastly... Big url or content update to one or both recently?

    I have also had this on a new site. All my other pages were still found for keywords, but my homepage was nowhere to be seen.

    After around 1-2 weeks it was back to normal again, no idea why it happened

    Back links are very imp to stay alive in search engine . social bookmarking will solve your problem
