Written and/or Video Content

If I had a written review about a product as well as a video review of the same product on my website, would Google see that as duplicate content?

  • No it'll not, because video and texts are totally different things.
  • Agree with @TheProgrammer. That should not cause any issue. In fact, many people do that so that people who doesn't want to read text, they can watch the video quickly.

  • Hey Rob,

    Just make sure that if you are posting a YouTube video on your website that you do not copy the text of your page to the YouTube video description and you will be fine.

  • That is not duplicate content at all. It is actually a good way to get a wider audience in many cases.

  • There is no way that google can see a video and a text as duplicant content. people do it all the time, even newscaster sites.
