Hi All, I've been making about $50 a month from my adsense I have on 2 blogs, I'd like to make more of course, but I can't seem to do it. I have the summer off and I will be concentrating on increasing adsense as well as clickbank and maybe making another blog too.
I've had my 2 blogs a year now, so its not like I am new, but it feels new.

    1. Focus on keywords with high value but reasonably lesser competition.
    2. Do good SEO. That is all.
    3. If you want to do Affiliate work then that might give you more than more Adsense.

PS: You can not do Adwords on a site that has Adsense, as far as I know (please confirm this from other warriors too).

I'm guessing you are getting some decent traffic to be making 50 bucks a month. Although I don't know what keyword you are targeting... I'm just going to assume for a moment that you are getting good traffic.
If that's the case then why not turn the website into a squeeze page and collect the emails of the people that come to your site, so you keep them as possible customers, instead of sending them off to never-never land when they click your adsense.
If you make it a squeeze page, you get to keep the customers and you can send them email promotions for clickbank products. If your commission is anywhere around $50 a sale you could very easily make $500 a month instead of $50.

    Let's do the math....

    $50/2 = $25 a month per blog

    $25 * 10 blogs = $250 a month

    $25 * 100 blogs = $2500 a month

    $25 * 3 blogs = $75 a month

  • You may want to promote your existing blogs than get a third one. It can be quite time consuming to manage three if you are going to update content daily. It is probably better to have two popular blogs that are updated daily than have 3 blogs or websites that are updated weekly.

You don't need to update blogs 'daily' to make money with adsense.

Just keep writing good content and people will naturally find their way to you. I wouldn't start another blog until you are completely sure you can provide the same quality of posts to all three.

    $50 a month ! That's great.

What niche are you in? The niche makes a big difference in Adsense. Go to Spyfu and see how much your niche pays.

Then concentrate on the 1 blog that pays higher - keeping adding tons of content and also add content to other places and link to your site.

    Just keep going.

I make about $50 a day from Adsense. Most of it comes from 4 blogs, but I have about 10 others with just a few posts that each bring in under a dollar day.

Really, my approach is to choose a topic for the blog that has a lot of different subtopics, so I can make tons of blog entries, each targeting different keyword phrases. Each entry gets search traffic for those keyword phrases. If each page gets only 5 visitors, but I have 150 entries, then that's 750 visitors per day. If 10% click, that's 75 clicks. That could be just a few bucks, or it could be a lot of money depending on the niche.

You can read how I do it on my blog below. It's all free, it's not a sales pitch.

If you are making this much on 2 blogs I would say to find a good ghost writer that works for cheap and expand your empire bigtime. You obviously know how to get traffic to your sites, so for sure build more blogs! Sure managing a lot of blogs is impossible if you are responsible for all the work.

The good news with adsense sites is that once you have a good solid google rank/good returning traffic to the blog/site, you can really taper off the amount of posting and work needed to maintain it, and you still continue making money.

Essentially all you have to do - once you rank well - is keep an eye on each site/blog rank, and watch closely. When you see a loss in traffic or a slip in rank, that's the 5 alarm bell to quickly slam content and more SEO work on the site - presto, you're back in the mix.

How do you do this with 10 or more sites when 2 has you working like a slave? Well I tried it and was at the computer almost 18 hours a day. It's not only NOT easy, it's impossible (at least for me). I decided early on that outsourcing was a necessary evil. While I love writing, I am far too much a perfectionist to casually churn out hundreds of posts.

So the initial expense was a bit much (finding and hiring quality ghost writers). But after 10 or so weeks my post requirement dropped to maybe 5 posts per month (per blog) - and then 3 posts, and so on. I can now maintain them on my own without needing writers at all.

I think overall I may have spent 1500.00 for articles for the entire year, and I have WAY made that back in adsense earnings. I could have spent far less on the articles as well, but I choose to get quality writers and not hacks. I'm of a mind that you get back what you give in this world, and having a chump writing for you will get you chump change in return.

After a year I have 16 made for adsense sites and I rarely have to touch them. In fact the site making me the most in adsense hasn't been touched for 3 months now - at all.

Maintaining a group of sites is not such a workload once you get a technique and some time management, and once you realize that outsourcing is the key.

This is exactly the approach I have adopted in the last month. I have seen the potential with my 2 oldest Blogs and now its rinse and repeat with outsourcing !! Brilliant stuff right here !! Gotta luv it

    Peter,

Your story is almost an exact replica of my marketing life I spend a couple of weeks creating a site that has value (good quality, unique content) and outsource my backlink tasks... Then it's just a matter of waiting and keeping above the fold on your SE rankings! And people say adsense is dead...

I don't kow if this would help but i have heard of mixing your keywords around and make a post with your new found words because if you are ranking well for the ones you have why change??

I think I might disagree. Concentrate on building your Virtual Real Estate on the Web with multiple Sites. Let those Domains Age while adding original content to them and after 5 years see how that
'20 parcels of land on the Web ' has appreciated in value !!
