Seeking suggestions for my automotive site

Hello,

I am a software developer by profession. Two years ago, I started an automotive site out of hobby that now gets decent traffic : ~800-1000 uniques a day. Most (>75%) are from search engines and I am getting it for last one year without too much updates. I have added only adsense on it and it makes me nearly USD 500 a month. I get few sponsored posts from leading companies as well.
Traffic comes from people searching from car photos, car details and quite often I post blog posts as well.

Now what I am seeking to know from you is, how do you monetize such content ? I seriously think if >80% traffic in this niche is from US then USD 500 is too low to make. How can I increase earnings from it ? Does affiliates work ? How much can I make potentially ?

My second query is, I have left job recently for some reasons, and need some money urgently. So should I consider thinking selling the site? How much site can fetch on flippa at this valuation ?

Thanks
Akshay

Well if it has been getting you this much traffic consistently (for a few months) and has been earning you this much money consistently.
You can expect to receive around $3000.

See if you can partner with either new or used car businesses.
I partner with one company that gives quotes on a certain product.
      They found me, actually.

Even car financing companies. In fact, if you don't have pages on
financing and sales, you are losing a lot of adsense revenue right there.

It might sound weird, but ebay has an affliate program. Send them to
ebay motors for cars and parts. Here is their Find Tires Widget:
      https://publisher.ebaypartnernetwork...findTires.html
Now that should be right up your alley...

Well 500$ for that kind of traffic is pretty normal. I own automotive site as well and most of my traffic is from USA too, i'm just getting 10x more traffic than you do, but my earnings aren't x10 your months earnings with adsense, so i think what you earn from adsense right now, is pretty okey.

For promoting i suggest to leave guest posting on another automotive sites with high traffic, that should boost your own traffic pretty good and also it increases serp too.

At $500 per month earnings I would list the site for $7,000 & expect the buyer to haggle on price, aim for at least $6,000.

Assumes you own the content & the site makes $500 average per month over at least the last 6 months.

Unique content, steady traffic, diversified traffic, & site authority will help increase the selling price.
