Is Adsense The Best?

Hey, new to all this and have a pretty noobish question. The site I created will rely mainly on traffic coming to the site (many articles for users to read). Is AdSense the way to go or are there other options that are as reliable and trusted as AdSense that will generate me more revenue?

Thanks in advance!

  • No, Doubt That Adsense is a Leading and Top notch PPC Affiliate Program. But The most important thing is get approved by it. They have some strict policy and guidelines.

    • I was lucky to get it verified a year or two ago when created for my triond.com account. Since I have it verified would that be the best to use now?
  • Most of my income from my domains is coming from affiliate income, although I'm earning a little through AdSense. I think, it's a matter of which do you focus into. There is no magic in driving traffic towards your sites regardless if they're aged or new ones.

    But there's a "trick" I've found.
    Never ever post thesis-sounding articles.

If you're just a newbie in outsourcing your content, better hire 5 to 10 writers from different providers. Keep 1 to 3 writers who can write nearly like your own voice and style. That's what I did some years ago and I am now reaping the fruits of my meticulous attitude.
  • Yes, In my experience adsense is the. Media.net powered by yahoo-bing is also giving great challenge to adsense.but if someone concentrate on adsense, he can make a good amount of earning with it.
  • If you have high traffic then Adsense will be best.
  • adsense is good and its the starting point for most of my new sites (unless there built around a product). What I would say is after a while see what else is out there you can make a considerable more amount of money through cpa and affiliate product marketing when done right.
  • Adsense is a great way to start and see if there is money in a market. You can then see which ads are being displayed more often and make deals direct to the same advertisers. Or create a similar offer and cut out the middleman.

Only certain niches perform well. Many will give poor CTR/CPC, although in some cases enough volume (and low enough competition to achieve it) will make up for it.
  • If you are talking about Adsense as a way to make money with your site then Adsense is very easy money. Just send traffic and get paid for clicks. However, there are many more ways to make much better money. Not sure if that is what you're asking or not?
  • adsense is best.... for 200 clicks I get $10 per day
  • For ad network, it's addenda or no any other except if you are looking at monetizing your site with affiliate product.
  • Get a lot of traffic to your website and you can earn through AdSense. This is a good start for many new marketers.
  • Yes, Google adsense is best! It is best because its a best known adverting company.
Ads like adsense are best(lite, highly targeted, never ending advertisers),

If you have huge genuine traffic then you can earn a lot with adsense

    Go for it.
  • I was real excited when I first got approved for Adsense. you should try and get approved you will be excited too. Then one day you will realize Ad-Sense is not going to get you rich. Then a few months later you're going to think damn will I ever get a check? Then you get your first check and you're like, Ad sense is worthless as tits on a boarhog.

In all seriousness go for it. You need thousands of visitors a day for it to be worthwhile in almost any niche.
  • Adsense is a highest payer. If you want to make a lot, then you should have lot of traffic.

    • Whilst The search engines Adsense is usually a common program in addition to can be quite profitable, I wouldn't really rely purely with Adsense intended for cash flow. Naturally in case you are shoveling throughout thousands weekly having Adsense, items usually are trendy.
  • It was the best 2-3 years ago... Before they started ban every 8 out of 10 accounts WITHOUT a reason!
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • I've never used adsense. I just don't get enough traffic to make it worth it. I do have enough traffic to affiliate physical products and make enough to pay the bills. I don't want to knock anyone who does use adsense because it has its own merits as a monetizing method, but I just never saw the appeal of making a few pennies at a time.
  • I am using adsense for last two years. From my personal experience adsense is the best.

    • What was your highest amount earned through adsense?
  • Depends upon your niche, to be honest. For instance, in gossip or sports related websites, Adsense clicks are only going to bring in pennies.
  • i've never made enough from adsense... affiliate program seems to be working better for me.

  • Since you have already been approved by them it's nice to go with them. Just don't do anything stupid
  • Try testing multiple revenue streams. Why would anyone not try to make more money?

Adsense can get pissy is you have other ads, so test affiliate offers first, then remove them and use adsense. Pick the winner.

You can download and use Piwik for free to track and test conversions and CTR.

  • You'll have to test it for a few weeks and play around with different placements and color settings to figure out if Adsense is indeed the way to go. There are plenty of other great monetization methods that may or may not be suitable for your website traffic.
  • My two cents on Adsense is this. You are letting Google putting up ads on your page that are relevant to the content off your page through Adsense. Adsense is using your content and your hard work that you put in yourself and basically stealing high advertiser dollars and giving you pennies on the dollar for what you should already know what you could advertise on your page. As an advertiser, the only way those ads keep flowing is through sales, so why not directly advertise those certain products than letting Google make you work for them and giving you a dollar for every $100 they make?
