Keyword planner can be used the same way, if you go to keyword ideas tab. So don`t be so sad

No it can't, can you see only this many searches for Internet Marketing broad match, I don't think so.

      internet marketing
      14,800
      High

This thing does not give any value for us, it is for adwords only not adsense. Google has messed the Internet Marketer up again.

And everyone quit saying it does the same thing, check your searches in google and see if it does. It does not.

The new tool does not show broad or phrase match search volume. The new tool only shows EXACT match search volume, which is a great thing for advertisers as well as IM'ers. Broad and phrase search volume were totally useless metrics.

The search volume you are seeing, 14,800 searches, is for the United States only. Worldwide, the tool says 'internet marketing' gets 49,500 searches a month.

It is still available if you don't log in into your Google account. Then it is still the old version. However interesting thing i noticed recently is that there is difference in the searches volume between the Keywords Planned and the Old Google Keywords tool.

    • There are some good training videos on Youtube for the keyword planner. I went over some of them yesterday and they helped a great deal, just search google keyword planner on youtube and you will have tons of videos to watch. Hope this helps. Change is difficult.

Well, that's no longer true. I guess today was the day they took the old tool down. I just logged into Google and checked out the Planner, though, and I'm kind of liking it so far. According to Google the difference in numbers is because the old tool only counted desktops/laptops and they now count all the other types of devices. Just checking it out quickly, I rather like a couple of things. Repeating a search made earlier on the old tool I received 803 results instead of the old default 101. Better, though, it lets you narrow the search to states or cities. This could be huge for doing comparisons, though I've never put much credence in Google's actual numbers on these lists-- especially the lower numbers. You're CSV file also contains average CPC price again, as well as the competition figure.

It will be going away soon.

Eventually you will need to sign up for Google Adwords and use the Google Planner Tool. Personally, I like the Google Keyword Tool.

Keyword Planner offers more accurate data then Keyword Tool. So far i'm happy with it.

keyword planner is promising ... i`m sure they would not replace it if it wouldn't do the same/more things... as a general rule, change is difficult as it was said before but i always believe to the 3 days rule... the human mind needs 3 days to adopt the change... after the 3 days pass and you used it during that period, i`m sure you will like it as well

I do appreciate that. I finally sat down long enough to learn how to use it and still have to say, I hate it.

I have resolved my searching to Google Search and use niche finder and a few more for the long tails. I have forced it to do exact search all the time for the U.S.
