  • Well.. unless your site has at least 2 other sites linking to it you're going to have trouble getting indexed in Google.

    The more QUALITY sites linking to yours, the more important it is, in Google's eyes at least.

    • I disagree with the need for Quality sites because I have launched brand new sites and been at the top of google, on the first page in one hour sometimes. I speak the truth. I have my methods and they work and I keep building autopilot money making sites. My only downfall is there are not enough hours in the day to keep building and getting these sites at the top of Google. No, I don't use social sites or rss or any of those things to get to the top of Google. I just do a few steps and those sites go on to make me affiliate money. They get indexed right then and there. Again, I speak the truth and I'm not promoting anything. I don't need the competition.
  • you can forget link building if you don't want to make money online. In other words, it is what you must do in order to succeed and consequently make money. You either do it yourslef or outsource the job. without it, your website or blog will only be gathering dust online.

    • If you dont care about getting organic TRAFFIC from google then not much.

      If on the other hand you want people who search via google and the major search engines to actually find your page - then backlinks arethe cornerstone to your strategy to get found by people looking for your products on search engines.

    • Lol Link building is what makes or breaks websites on search engines, the more links you get the more higher you will rank. Definately, link popularity will increase rank in google search but it should be from quality site with quality contents.

  • If you still are asking this question.. means you still need to open some ebooks, about Im...without backlinks poeple won t find your site over the internet, -> your site will be invisible -> you don t earn nothing

    • Quite simply, links are what the world wide web is all about! It is the lifeblood that flows through the network of intertwined websites.. Without links the web would be non existent,

      Google, whether you consider them god like or not, just recognise that fact and build it into their indexing and ranking algorithm. They also recognise that links coming from sites that they have previously noted as being trustworthy and important (page rank) are of more value. That my friend is the "use of link building"..

  • After content, backlinks plays the crucial role in ranking of a website. Search engines see them as votes in your favour and pass link juice of backlinked website to you.
    Developing backlinks is a continous process and is not a fortnight job to be done.

    So beware, backlinks from non-theme related websites and in bulk can harm your website.

If you need ONLINE business you SHOULD do link building. If NO LINK BUILDING then NO ONLINE BUSINESS. If you can do good link buildings search engines will list your sites for particular keywords and your will get visitors via them as well as there are more and more on link building via checking this forum, you can get more idea on what is link building.
