Strange Spammy Sites linking to mine

I just checked google webmaster tools for sites linking to mine.

There are all these strange spammy sites linking to mine, such as the following:

www.diyhypnosis.com

guttersystem360.com

trainmydogsmyself.com

dentalwebs.info

guitarfretnotes.com

mentalhealthnewstoday.com

Any many more similar, spammy looking sites. I have no idea how these sites ended up linking to mine nor have i been able to find the exact link pointing to my site on any of them.

What should i do to get these links removed? Anyone ever encounter something like this?

Without knowing what link I'm looking for, helping you find it isn't possible.

That having been said, the few I checked that were working are autoblogs - meaning that at some point an article (or yahoo answer) that included a link back to your site was scraped and reposted on these domains.

Is it not amazing, after all the updates and push on site quality. The huge amount of junk there still is.

It's sort of like trash in a landfill, as long as humans exist the pile just keeps getting bigger.

Have you ever published on ezinearticles or similar sites? I've found whenever I do that, they get scraped and published on loads crappy spams sites (all linking back to my site). They are never syndicated on quality websites like some people on this forum like to suggest.

I got one of my early articles published on 2 State news websites. It got me 4000+ sitewide widget links from 1000s of PR3+ pages.

Set me on my way to dominating a 3 million+ exact match search market. And I'm cleaning up thanks to some good old quality article syndication.

From ezinearticles? It's never worked for me. I've never got anything more than a load of spammy backlinks. I must have been doing it wrong.

Maybe ezine articles and other article directory sites should be saved for backlinking to sites in the outer rings of a linkwheel.

This looks strange. Just checked my sites and never got backlinks from them... Are you sure they are spammy? Do they have a lot of other backlinks? They can even help you, because ... EVERY backlink is a VOTE for your website. If your website is still in SE, then it's not a problem and everything is OK!

Strange. i never experienced spammy links from ezine articles. Many spammy websites link to site but from other sources.

I have the same problem, but with different sites. They seem to be autoblogs that randomly link out to decent websites. Compliment, in a way I have no idea what it's meant to achieve.
If you're really worried you could run them through the disavow tool as blocked domains

Don't worry too much about a few spammy links to your website.

Just focus on what you can control and you will be fine.

Yes disavow them - and stop worrying. If any of your competitors did it = no fear at all = Google is smart.

Are you using adwords or any other advertising campaign? These could be sites displaying your ad, and google is picking it up as a link back to your site.
