Over optimization or its a good factor?

Hello seniors,
I have a question on one of my site. When i searches for my keywords for the site, it show upto 3 to 5 pages of my site on search results.I have used different browsers and even different computers, but have got the same results. Is this okay or i have over optimized my pages for the same keywords?

  • It could've been one of those situations where the competition is ridiculously low and since nobody's targeting that keyword, google has no other option but to show your site. OR you might be logged into a google account thats why you are getting personalized result. OR both. without looking at the site/keyword, all i can do is guess!!

  • Thanks Ben Acharyaa for your reply. I have checked the results in different browsers and also have used different computers. Also I was not log in in my gmail account. May be as you said competition of my keywords is ridiculously low, as i never checked the keywords competition and just analyzed my competitors' keywords and i am using them. And its really working for me. My site is http://www.potentialcoaching.in and my keywords are iit coaching guwahati, iit coaching in guwahati, medical coaching in guwahati, Engineering coaching centre in guwahati..i am now on 2nd page of Google..

    • No need to worry about what you are facing because your keywords have relatively low competition keywords that is why you have observed 3 or 5 deep links of your website.

    I’m confused about your question. Are you saying that you are ranking on pages 3-5 of Google or are you saying only 3-5 pages of your site are indexed? What optimization did you perform on it? Have you noticed a drop in your average position in SERPs? If you have, there could be many reasons for this including an over optimization penalty.

    • Sir, when i search for one of my keyword on google,i see that 3 to 5pages of my site shows in 2nd page of google. About 2-3weeks ago my site was on 3rd page and even had no rank for some keywords, but now its on 2nd page, also on 1st page for 2 of my keywords. So my questn was that is it ok that my site is ranking on google with 2-3-4 even with 5pages?Or i have done something wrong on page optimization techniques or over optimization of keywords?
  • Yeah, i too checked the competition of these keywords, they are too low. That's why you are getting good SERP result.

  • Hi in my opinion over optimization is not good factors because in a one website like a social bookmarking you have added a all your web page links in that social sites.. and also that same links add different sites so that point of view this is not good or you have submit your website any other off page factors and use that one is one by one so that is the best option..

    • My question was not over optimization is good or bad factor..I have asked whether i have done some over optimization or its normal for my site that my site's 3 to 5 pages got ranked for one keyword.
  • It's better to have your website multiple times in Google (different pages!).

    I could give you an example:

    You have a blog. When you write an article and work on it, you will rank the article page for a specific keyword... BUT! The homepage will also rank for it because the article is BOTH on the same pages! So, it's normal!
