Checking Your Rank: Avoid Misleading Search Result in Google

Sometime in 2011, I saw my site ranking #3 for the keyword "affiliate marketing". I was very excited until I tried to confirm its position with my mobile phone - my site was nowhere to be found. After a little digging, I came to realize that search result is skewed when you're logged into Google. Your personal search history and Google plus can skew it.

How many people might be making this mistake? I hope this thread will help such people. So before you call yourself an SEO expert, please log out and confirm. And of course, you can use SEO software to automate the process.
