Hi All,

I have received an email from Google to use adsense on my site. Currently I'm monetizing my sites with affiliate products.

Should I remove affilaite links and use adsense or both or just stick with affiliate products only?

Please advise.

Thanks

Lol, that sounds like something from a magic 8 ball.

OP, split test, that's the only way to know which is more profitable.

  • Thanks all for your suggestions. Will do split testing and see how it goes.

    Thanks!
  • Yes it's a great idea giving it a shot and see what will be more profitable.
    Hope to hear your experience.
  • Why not? At least this is another opportunity for you to make money with them. Try monetize it with Google Adsense and affiliate products at the same time on your website or blog.
  • Try both for a start to see if affiliate earnings go down. I use Adsense and promote aff products and earn about equally from both. I haven't tested removing Adsense because it's so lucrative ... but I do keep Adsense ads off pages that are focused on promoting aff products.
  • Yeah, you can choose google adsense. From my personal experience I fill google adsense is better then Affiliate.
  • A split test is the best option to get the answer. Replace affiliates with Adsense (say for 2 weeks) and then compare the profits. Then try with mixed mode. Most probably you will end up in using mixed mode.
  • Do both. But if you want to choose one, do the math buddy.
First calculate your how much you earn PPC from affiliates. For example, if you earned $1000 a month from 1000 clicks, it means that you have earned an averageof $1 per click. Then go to google keyword tool and check out how much Google is paying for the keywords of your niche. If Google pays more than $1 for the keywords of your niche, prefer Adsense.
  • It depends on you whether you want to keep ads on your website or not if you want to keep ads on website and want to try earning some bucks ofcourse you can do it .
  • Do whatever is most profitable. The downside is this means sending traffic you spent time and/or money to acquire to somebody else for peanuts so they can sell them higher dollar things you could have tried to sell them. But as mentioned above weigh your options, split test, and implement.
  • If you are contented with what you are earning from your affiliate product then i advice you stick to just that.

I have gotten more reports of people getting banned from adsense than ever...

Switching to adsense might just kill your business if anything goes wrong..
  • There's only one way to determine if it's a good idea.

And that's to test it out.

The only question is; are you happy with your current earnings?

    :]
