I started my site at the start of June and averaged $10 per day (well, £10 per day for me!) for the first time in August when I made just over £310 for the month from Adsense.

I wouldn't like to guess how many hours I've put into my site. Though it's not been a huge amount of work. An hour or two most evenings and a few hours at the weekend.

I decided to hire a freelancer (via elance) to write a lot of my articles as soon as I realised that the site was earning enough to more than cover the cost, so that saves quite a bit of time now!

Can you tell, if you are writing content based on low competitive keyword research?
Are you doing link building too?

I'm assuming "link building" means working on getting backlinks to a website? If so, no, I'm not really doing this.

I submitted the site to one ranking site/directory, which puts sites in my niche into order of traffic (my site is currently 3rd). That's a decent link from a PR4 page. But otherwise I've not thought about generating links at all, I've just let it happen naturally.

Before I launched the site, I spotted that all the sites in the niche were particularly amateurish (hobby blogs, no big players) so decided to make something of a higher standard.

The content I write does generally target low competition keywords. Though to be honest I'm not being overly scientific about keyword research at the moment. Sometimes I just go to Google, start writing a search query, see what Google suggests in the auto-complete box and get ideas from that!

My first $10 day, I said this shit sucks. Like wtf am I doing wasting my life away for $10 lousy bucks.
Then got busy bringing it up to $1000 a day and beyond.

can't disclose too much about my adsense numbers... but some days i make double what my daily average is... it's not about the one day payoff, it's about raising all days

Same here - still heading there - and still getting that clueless feeling at night after refreshing my adsense page 4 times in a row before heading to bed.

I went all in on a website- wrote 95 - 600+ word reviews. (Helpfull ones) - added 10 informational pages.
Ranked a good couple (high) keywords on first page and top 3

Played with ad types, styles, colors and positions. getting 300 pageviews a day with ~120 uniques. Minimized distraction completely

CTR this month = 0.99% banking an average of €0.62 a day! About to order a bugatti.
If you only knew how much time ive put into this domain, oh boy

Was that a WSO mentoring or something else? What are the best ways to approach getting mentored in AdSense?

No need to devulge any crazy secrets that you swore on your children's lives you wouldn't tell and sealed the pact with your cat's own blood... but any suggestion on ways to approaching finding/selecting/getting the right mentorship would be much appreciated.

I don't make that much these days because I sold all of my sites and have been on other business But my first $10 adsense a day was after I worked for about one year on online world and worked for about 3-4 months on blogging world.
