Ad decay rates for Google/Bing/FB

from your experience what is average ad decay rate for Google/Bing/FB. Also, once ad decays...can you bring it back later?

    For google, you can typically leave the same ads running (assuming they are at a point where they are performing well) for a while. I’ve left ads running for months that were still running very well. For Facebook, they seem to decay much faster but it depends on how you have your ads configured. For example I have an ad promoting a Facebook page to grow the network. It is only shown to people who don’t like the page and it continues to perform well weeks after it was set up. Conversely, ads I’ve set up that lead to landing pages that may be shown to the same audience need to be changed every few weeks.

      thanks shawn. When you say changed every few weeks are you saying change picture or heading or who is being targeted?

    For what it's worth, the order to follow for changing ads seems to be Image->Headline->Description.

    Of course, its not really my area of expertise just yet so take that with a grain of salt.
