There are two ways that I know of to affect Alexa ranking. One install their widget on your site (then hide it with css). And two install their toolbar on your browser with your site set as the opening home page. I found that the toolbar massively slows my browser so I installed it on IE and just open it once a day. Both of these are used to record traffic. The toolbar records your traffic and the widget records every ones traffic to your site. Using these two tricks has dropped my number by a few hundred thousand in a few months.

Step 1: Install the Alexa toolbar on multiple browsers

Step 2: Load up your website on all the browsers.

Step 3: Leave the browsers open.

Step 4: Rinse and repeat daily.

Step 5: Find something less useless to do with your time.

If you install web rank toolbar then you can easily view your site alexa rank. when more traffic will visit your site the alexa rank will down.
