You are asking for tools,here is the names of some tools that I use.

Market samurai for keyword research and competition analysis,I think the price is $100 one time only.

Yoast plugin for the on-page optmization,this plugin is free.

For backlinks I use just scrapebox to find some related blogs to post some links MANUALLY,and sometimes I use SEO spyglass to check my competitors links.

I think Scrapebox cost $49 with the bhw affiliate link.
I think SEO spyglass cost $100(I'm not sure).

That is pretty much it.

I have tried them and find them very unsuccessful. You can easily but some tools and blast out articles out to hundreds of websites, and gain some massive traffic in the process. But the problem with that is, no trust is being built.
There are hundreds of thousands of people writing articles trying to get rich quick.
Bad articles flood those kinds of websites.
Great content will get you great responses. If you wrote one amazing article a week, and it was indeed amazing then people will share it with their friends-the whole idea of viral marketing will take effect- and they will share it with theirs.
This gains you a massive audience, massive amounts of trust. You can easily make money off an affiliate link. You can sell products to that market very easy.
It is amazing to see the responding power when you truly give everything you have to help people.

Hi,

You can also try Traffic Travis (a cheaper alternative) for your traffic analysis and also use this for your SEO campaign like analyze your keywords, on page seo, and also your competitor's keywords. However, as much as these tools provide you with good information that you can use to make traffic and rank for your chosen keywords, I highly suggest you go with manual linkbuilding and just prioritize with high quality backlinks. It is way much worth it if you will be connecting directly with your target market by producing articles/content relevant to your niche and very helpful to your readers as well as using the social media site to connect to your market.

You don't need any tools. You can pay someone $5 on fiverr to use senuke for you if you want. I dont know why you would ever use software like that though.

there tons and I mean tons of useful aspects of that software. To be honest, your thinking about that software completely wrong. Think of the out of the box aspects out it.

Fiverr can save some money on reports you can generate from tools till you can afford them.

I agree with BennyP. I think it's more efficient if you outsource. It will save you more of your time and money. Find someone who can do these things for you at a faster pace. You can see results faster and you can focus on other tasks.

While tracking rankings is very important, when asking yourself for "necessary" ones, you should be asking yourself this: Does this SEO system / software help me achieve my goals?

No one has mentioned Long Tail Pro - I'd call it essential in my toolbox. I also use Majestic SEO. I used to have a Moz account, never used it enough to justify the $100.

Majestic SEO and LTP? Most definitely justify the expense

Go to eBay and do a keyword search like "seo google" there are people on there who will get you in first page of google local for around $100.

I use tools for keyword research and competition analysis but when it comes to building backlinks, I avoid using automated tools because 99% of the time they do more harm that good. I'm not saying they are all bad but its much better to do things manually. Most of these tools simply spin junk content into articles that don't even make sense. Also, Google adapts constantly and the tools methods go out of date.

The tools I use are Market Samurai (keyword research), Scrapebox (harvesting related sites for backlinks), SEO Power Suite (to check rankings - rank tracker, to check competitors links - spyglass).

I also use ahrefs, semrush and keyword planner. But these are not tools, these are part of research.

I use Senuke. It's good up to certain extent. You can't get very quality links always through Senuke. But you can get consistent, scheduled and automated links through it. It's good if you use it smartly.

All the "advanced" stuff has gotten much more tricky. For instance, releasing a free useful site widget people could use on their website that contains an attribution link back to to the widget creator is now dangerous with regards to Penguin, at least if you do not no-follow the link.

I still use good software but choosy nowadays for tier1 links those which links to my main site. I no more use any article , forum profile, comments, web directory etc links for tier 1.. Only high PR contextual web2.0 blogs for tier1.

Personally I use Money robot software having good web 2.0 blogs and you can keep same blogs updated timely too if required.

MS is good for keyword investigation, Traffic Travis is good to investigate your competitor's websites... Also, SEO SpyGlass is a great SEO tool! But the most important thing -> UNIQUE content!

Yes, there is advanced wizardry behind the things those blogs tell you.

It's how you build backlinks with backlinking tools like Senuke
It's how you write your content
It's how you conduct your guest blogging outreach

What you said is just the foundation of a marketing campaign. Executing it is a totally new story because every blogger even the newbies (1-day old bloggers,etc) can tell you do build backlinks, write good content and do guest blogs.

But what they don't tell you is the HOW you do it which is the golden nugget here.

Not pushing any program, but we have used most of them. SENuke is good but to use it well is a loooong learning curve. Manual is best if you have the time and are organized. If you are trying to rank for one money site - stick with manual. There are tons of free tools to do research with. Lots of landing pages? I'd try software.

Hi, I'm really tempted to write just "try SEO SowerSuite" and leave, but I do think to make an informed decision you need to make a list of tasks you're looking to implement with your SEO software.

SEO is diverse indeed. And no less diverse is the market of SEO software. Make up your mind regarding what you need. Then go to the sites of tools suggested here and check if they can make you happy. 'Something like moz' is not a criterion.
