Ranking a Pinterest Board...SEO Question

I am very hopeful about my test to see if a Pinterest board will rank for a very competitive keyword. However I have a question about the URL of my board.

It goes like this: pinterest.com/brandnamecoupon/brandname-coupon-code

Do you think having one of the keywords repeated twice (brandname coupon) could negatively effect my results?

I'm thinking of going with: pinterest.com/nichecoupons/brandname-coupon-code , which would also give me opportunities to rank for other brand's coupon codes.

Anyway, my plan is to buy ~500 Pinterest followers, blast the board with about 50 high PR links from my network. If I see progress but not to first page, I'm going to blast with SAPE links. Yep, you heard right. While I have completley broke my addiction to SAPE over the last month, I STILL see Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook profiles ranking that are using a ton of russian links. I'll report back with what I find.

I would go with the latter version. Over-optimization isn´t something Google likes nowadays and since you already plan to build strong PR backlinks and more important SAPE links to this page i don´t think you need to risk using your brandname 2X in the title.

What i would do is also build social signals to it since it is Pinterest - just buy a decent service with drip feed option available and you will be good to go

    -Regards-

Repeating twice your keywords will have not negative impact.

I like the second version, if only because it's more user friendly and Google seems to be leaning in the direction of anything that serves the user's experience better. As for what you said about ranking high on Pinterest, have you seen many boards ranking on Google for top keywords?

Save your resources dude, it does not works that way, i have spent countless days on Pinterest Boards SEo, i had also bought couple of services and one major service from a forum with High quality links... All i can say is the more you get repins to your pins on board the more chances of ranking higher, and if you plan to rank boards with High quality links, believe me they will not stay there until you will have some regular repins on your board,

Really interested to read about your progress here! From a general 'organic' perspective, I would consider the best URL structure to be the latter.

Can you pay someone to repin your content from Pinterest? And, what site would you use to have this done?

You don't pay you just use pinterest resources, make a group board and left the job to group pinners, they will rank your board, but it is hit and trial so better start with large number of boards and make them group boards by inviting pinners...
I have ranked a pinterest board currently 3rd spot for 40k Exact search, like i told it is hit and trial .. came after a lot failures

Are you talking about ranking in Google or in Pinterest?

I have zero experience with ranking Pinterest btw.

Well, I guess manipulating pinterest followers is not good as far as Google is concern.

Do you have a link to your Pinterest board, so I can analyze what you are doing and maybe learn a few things.
