Good, after you have loaded your blog with Posts. You need to now include your blog url in you forum signature, it gives great exposure.
Do article marketing, there are lots of bookmarking sites which you must not miss. Make valueable comments on blog and leave a link of you blog/posts. You can give solo ads a shot

I do participate on Community sites and place my blog url link, if the discussion is related to the topic. And also use social sites to promote it.

As per WikiPedia "Backlinks, also known as incoming links, inbound links, inlinks, and inward links, are incoming links to a website or web page. In basic link terminology, a backlink is any link received by a web node (web page, directory, website, or top level domain) from another web node"

First you need to write content related to your niche about 500 words, then create an account on popular article directories like ezinesarticle, goarticle etc. Then you can submit your article there and if they find it according to their guidelines, you'll receive confirmation email.

For article submission there is no book I guess, though you can search online there is huge resource.

If you have money to spend, i would use ppc or ppv on reputable networks to drive targeted traffic to your blog. Build accounts on all major social platforms (facebook, twitter etc) and interlink them. Get your target audience engaged and they will spread the word if the content/info you are giving them is of quality.

It´s hard when starting out - we´ve all been there - but hang in there and it may become viral sooner than you expect.

        Smart move.

It's extremely easy to burn through money with PPC if you're not careful. A lot of people make the mistake of just jumping in without really knowing what they're doing. And these are the people that tend to come here and claim that PPC "sucks."

PPC can be GREAT if you know what you're doing. So it's definitely wise to take some time learn everything you can. Then start out with less competitive keywords and a modest budget.

In terms of pure quality traffic, go old school with niche-related forum posting. Find a handful of active forums in your niche, make sure they allow a signature, and start making quality posts at those forums. If you're consistent you'll see a constant flow of extremely targeted traffic going through your sig to your site.

Try to do a guest blog on a popular blog sharing your knowledge. (not a paid guest blog post)

Social Media will do, also mentions to other blogs can give you an extra boost. don't overly link build it just be natural. number doesn't count if you are linking into useless websites.

Concentrate on the content. People don't want to read the same old stuff over and over again. Try thinking of yourself as a journalist and break some news, do some great research, discover and write about something that no one didn't even know. That's the best and fastest way to become known really quickly.

You could use YouTube to promote your site. Make a channel in your blogs name, and post videos related to the content you post. You could briefly solve a problem for someone, and then lead them back to the actual blog post to get extended information. YouTube can be really good for getting traffic, and a lot of people overlook it. However, it can be used to market almost any site.

I agree with JSProjects too. When I 1st started out several years ago I jumped into PPC and wasted some money. When you are ready to start testing use a small budget and scale it up as you figure out what works. But for now focus on non PPC traffic.

In my experience, the two best ways to get a blog off the ground is to:

    a) utilise Twitter and actually participate in the conversations that are going on there - don't just link to your site every time but give your opinions on things. Use the search functionality and you can normally find people talking about all sorts of things in your niche.

Mention other users often using their @username and use hashtags to ensure that anyone else searching for what you're talking about can find your tweets.

    b) connect directly with other bloggers in your niche - this might be on Twitter or LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest etc or by good old fashion email (usually via a contact form on their blog).

Don't necessarily ask for anything like a guest post, just tell them how much you get from their blog and generally say nice things about them. Keep the dialogue going, especially when they post new articles - comment on them if you like but don't think you have to link through to your site every time.

After a while you will be in a better position to ask for a guest post or that they take a look at your blog and give you there opinion on how you could improve it - people generally love being in a position of knowledge and power and they might give you more niche specific tips or invite you to private groups for bloggers in your niche (these exist everywhere - lots of the time on Google+).

In essence, then, it's about connections rather than backlinks and SEO. That's my experience anyway - it could well be different in different niches.

Don't wait until you have 14 posts though. Write a post, then promote the heck out of it. Then repeat. Befriend a few big players in your niche and become an active contributor of value to their communities as well.

There are many ways to get backlinks and what you need to do is get everywhere, literally. That includes using social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ ad Linkedin. Plus, its a good idea to start uploading videos to sites including youtube, daily motion, metacafe. Then hit the article directories such as ezine, go articles etc. Also try blog commenting, social bookmarking and web 2.0 sites.

Don't ignore YouTube I make $200,000.00+ EVERY YEAR ONE 1 SINGLE VIDEO I have on YouTube. Its a video that educates and offers a free download when they are done. Unfortunately only about 10% of the viewers convert to a free signup (im working on that) but I net 40 subs a day and then I monetize that. YouTube is crazy awesome. Do your description right, direct people to it in some of your back-links and you just might be shocked at what happens.

I would start your research with searching YT for videos around your topic, your title is your headline and your description is like your first paragraph.

Put your best foot forward, don't tease people with shi* on YT deliver the goods, turn them into subs and convert that into cash.

Its easier than hell to get a #1 spot on YT.

    1. Find out who are ranking on top in your niche.
    2. Find out their backlinks and try to duplicate that.
    3. Reach out to relevant websites in your niche and ask them if they can publish a guest article in their site (write an article which adds value to the site).

Many of them are already suggested about Guest Blog and others. I also suggesting you to try press release also. And also use social media like Facebook, Pinterest. In Pinterest you can repin others pin post which is related to your site and add your site address on it...but you need to collect followers also...Good luck...

Create good content that your ideal customer would be searching for.
Any FAQ´s you could write about.
Create great content with your visitor in mind rather than creating content for the search engines.
Focus on the copy of the site and try to improve it.
    Hope it helps.
