Hey guys, im just wondering if buying links to boost your sites rankings in the short term would get your adsense account banned?

I wont be clicking my own ads or anything stupid, but im thinking of risking a blog i bought to try out some links i can buy. What would you suggest? Taking off ad-sense or should i be fine? The content is banging BTW

Yes it is obvious you can get your account banned, when google finds those links spammy they take immediate action.

Just to add that your adsense account could be banned for NO reason at all! Also, you could have THOUSANDS of fake visitors, HUNDREDS of BAD backlinks and your account could be active 6+ months... So, you only need luck to work with Adsense!

Risky at best If your buying links on IM forums.

Skip the link sellers that target every niche under the sun & hook up with same niche sites willing to give you links (free or paid), deal directly with same niche webmasters.

Example, If your selling car parts, find niche sites related to car repair, DIY sites, etc...

If those links are giving you traffic directly then it could be an issue, I am not sure about bad links and Adsense ban

Part of Adsense's terms and conditions is that your site complies with the Google Webmaster Guidelines, so yes, if you are buying links and Google detects that, then your Adsense account is at risk. .... lots of 'ifs' though.

Care to explain why Google Adsnese say that your site must comply with the Google webmaster guidelines? Aren't "links" part of the Google webmaster guidelines?

Definitely yes it will ban you for that reason but what you consider as bad links? If its not in their TOS they wont but in most of the cases yes they will ban

Not sure if your adsense can get banned if you have bad backlinks, your google rankings will def get affected and you'll end up losing what you're making now.

I agree with Yukon's advice.. contact niche sites, in most cases I've found them willing to give you permanent links for as low as $20

Sending them a well written guest blog post is a good way to get started.

If bad links could shut down your adsense account, it would be good way of dealing with your competitors - just build some questionable links and their account gets shut down - bang - no more competition.

What i´m trying to say is that i haven´t heard of anyone who has experienced this. That said, adsense has the opportunity to ban your account anytime it likes. Building quality links is a must anyways

    -Regards-

Google will only tolerate so much before they get tired of dealing with a site example: clickbombing, bad traffic, etc...

Why risk an Adsense account on silly things like paid links from an IM link seller that would sell a link to anyone that shows up with a dollar? Buying links from these guys that allow any type of site to buy links from 100's of niches is a shot in the foot (IMO).

It's a lot more difficult to detect a paid link on a site that's in the same niche (entire site is in the same niche).

I think one cannot predict google ban easily but according to me yes if its bad links which is against the rules of the google adsense you might face the ban from google adsense

Bad links can cause ranking loss but I am not sure if they will ban your adsense or not. Most of the adsense account gets banned because of fraud clicking and high CTR (which looks specious to Google).

But you cannot rely on Google adsense solely for earning because Google can ban your account in no time showing any reason.

Google does not hate paid links, nor is it against TOS on adsense.
Why on earth do you think they keep sending us free adwords coupons?!?!?!

People just ignore the rest of what google publishes.

There are "paid" links and then there are paid links.

A wise person knows the difference.

Funny thing, google actually tells you how to buy and sell links.

I think you completely misunderstood what the majority of people were saying.

"Risk" seems to denote that you are not comfortable with the links you
are buying. So, follow your gut instinct.

Watching TV can get your adsense account banned.

Seriously, those guys are crazy. It's better to find another monetization system.
