Linking site together

I just need a second thought on my plan in creating a small link wheel out of my client's client website. Yes, I am a third party resource.

Since most of the websites are in the same niche like 5 of them. So, just wondering if this is safe. I'm going to put the link on the article section.

    • Well, link building in any method is a scheme when you're aware you're doing it just to rank pages.

      I just wanted to know if someone is doing this to their client and still not get caught by Google.
  • I would not go for link wheels, makes it easier for Google to catch us. Secondly clients would not love if their rankings drop like a stone

  • I wouldn´t use link wheels on money sites or sites relying on SE traffic.

    I tried it around a year ago on white-hat web2.0´s with unique articles on them and it didn´t end well - just an experiment though.

    Does your client know your creating link wheels with their sites? I hope your not doing this for personal gain (links for you).

    • The client is aware that I've created link wheels using web 2.0 properties for his clients' websites but strictly quality wheels, as far as how i perceived "quality" though.

      But for the plan of using his actual clients' websites for link wheel he doesn't know yet about this plan. All of the sites have article section thought I could use this by referencing other websites (clients) on the same niche since i have access to all the sites.

      Partly yes for personal gain since I need to show some results to them.

      I am the second resource who work for him, athough there are some movements in ranking but generally it is not yet enough.
