Here's a neat little way to get some LSI keywords

LSI keywords are great to add punch to your content.

This way shown you have Google showing you the LSI keywords for your keyword of choice. These are words Google itself will tell you are relevant in relation to your keyword.

Have fun!

ps: if it's too hard to watch, just click on the "youtube" logo and watch on youtube, or full screen even.

This is stuff to pay attention to.

Google has been placing increasing importance on these as of late, and will likely continue to do so.

And utilizing those semantically related keywords for cross linking across different related domains and interlinking within your own domain helps to increase the value of your content over all.

I have no idea what you are doing, I can't see because it is so small, and with no sound, it makes it hard to determine what you are doing to get the LSI words.

Open it in YouTube, then click on the full screen mode. Even without sound, you completely understand, as you can see it and see as he types out what he is doing.

I tried that, but it would not expand to full screen. Don't understand why, but...

I had trouble figuring out what he did too. I hate silent youtube videos, but this really is great. I thought it worked with Excel, but you need to do it in your google docs account (you do have one).

      1) Create a new spreadsheet
      2) In the first cell, type in the keyword you'd like to generate LSI versions
      3) Click on that Cell
      4) Hold down Ctrl + Shift
      5) With the cursor on the corner of the highlighted cell, RIGHT-CLICK and drag the cell down, maybe a dozen spaces
      6) when you release, all the highlighted cells will be populated with LSI versions of your keyword

      Hope that helps

Sorry 'bout that, anyways! And thanks for the comment

    Hey guys,

yeah, this is definetely something worth paying attention to. The cool thing is finding all the different ways to use them.

Using them as anchor texts, for example, is very good.

But using these for creating sites are awesome. These show you what are the pages you should have.. At least some of the lsi keywords should be used as articles/pages and be linked with each other, as this shows Google a LOT of relevancy in the niche/keyword

This is indeed something we should be watching. As we all know, Google made changes on their algorithm to look for these terms in the content of websites to see if it is considered something of quality by the search engine. I remember reading from an article that 17% of the traffic comes from the main keywords while the rest comes from these other keywords.

It appears that now it's actually working with the left button, rather than the right one. When I recorded that, it was with the right one. Give it a shot with the left button and let me know if it works for ya

Wow, impressed, that's neat - wonder why they put that feature in there! Darn sight easier than messing around with the Keyword tool and whatnot. Course then they can SPY on me and see what niches I am looking at!!

BTW, don't think you need to press CTRL+SHFT, just pull the corner handle like you do in regular Excel to extrapolate fields.

@Craig McPherson: thanks, mate, I'm glad you liked it!

@markowe: yeah, definetely, but be sure they're watching you on the keyword tool as well, so, it doesn't really make that much of a difference.
But I think if you just pull, it will copy or follow a list (like if you have 1, 2 it will add 3, 4 and so on)

Maybe this is the lost wonderwheel? that's where it ended up? lol

oh there are way more tools than I can ever think of knowing out there... but there is one that I absolutely love to use, which is Jack Duncan's Keyword Map Pro. It's amazing and he sells on this very forum.

    @yafb456
It's definetely a great great way to find related terms, but, in my opinion, they're not always related... lots of them are just terms with the same words in it (for instance: "how to play football" and "football season 2014" wouldn't be LSI keywords, but would probably both show if you looked for "football"), but don't get me wrong: ubbersuggest is a HELL of a tool and I love using it. t

Great find. And very applicable for what Google's looking for these days. Google is giving preference to deep pages that cover an entire topic.

Whereas before you'd want to make individual pages for each keyword, now they're looking for one page that covers everything.

Create long pages that cover as many keywords as possible (without over optimizing). Send your backlinks with anchors that also cover each of these variations. You'll find this page ranking for everything.

You could rank double or triple pages per keyword with multiple internal pages & stretch inbound link authority further.

That's the spirit DiggitySEO and Yukon! Very nice add

With the right LSI keywords and a good site architecture, relevancy really rises in Google's eyes.

I've been having fun with the use of LSI keywords in Youtube videos descriptions as well. I have been ranking real good for my offline company and been collecting a bunch of leads out of these videos.

Yukon and DiggitySEO and everyone else - do you have any other resources for LSI keywords that you want to share?

    Thanks!

Yeah, guys... Google has retired this feature, at least for now

    from: https://support.google.com/docs/answer/3543688?rd=1

The new version of Google Sheets contains a number of new features and performance improvements. But, the new version doesn’t yet support the publishing of individual sheets.

There are also a few features that we're retiring in the new Google Sheets:

    Spell check
    Web clipboard
    Solver
    Special autofill using Google Sets
    (...)
    What a shame...

I'm trying to find some new way to access Google sets. If I find out, I'll let you know. If you find out, let me know!!
