Optimize your blogs
and write your first post and talk about the post on social networking sites.

Thats the mistake buddy. How can you go for a ride without knowing your destination?? Same thing you have done without analyzing keywords. 1st you need to do keyword research and than do SEO for getting SERP. All the best...

You can use a blog submission website you can easily search blog submission sites in search engine so that point of view that is the best method for promotion and you can add your website in SMO sites also because in SMO lot's of traffic is landing in your blog.

Find profitable niche, do keyword research, use some plugin for on page optimization like all in one seo plugin, etc. Then do off page optimization, in short backlinking .. You will get tons of material about SEO and backlinking on internet or on this forum.
