Allow Elance/oDesk writers contributor access to your blog?

I'm looking for Elance/oDesk writers to write news articles for my blog. I was thinking about allowing them to create Wordpress posts directly, but not allow them to publish. Is this a good idea? Please advise.

    You want to use freelancers to write contents for you and you dont want to let them post to your site? As the site is wordpress you can easily create member accounts for them. Restrict members from everything rather posting articles. You dont need to take articles from writers and post them into the site on the other hand writers will not be able to take control of your site. Thats all.

    Yes best thing is to create memebers account for them, it will safe and secure.
    Don't let them direct access.
