New Adsense Layout Impact

How has the new Adsense Layout Impacted your clickthrough? I notice that my clickthrough has completely crashed and is a third of what it was. I think not having the underlines is really killing visitors clicking the ads. I wish Adsense had an option of whether to opt in or out of the new format. I think the large ad sizes make it very hard for the ads to blend in with the content.

My best performing format, 728x90, has been rendered useless as they only now show only single ads.

I am sure though some people are seeing increases. For those seeing increases, what do you think you are doing that is in harmony with the new layout?

You sound like you're in the same boat I am, only before, the 728x90 unit showed only one ad, and after the update it will only show 4 ads no matter what.

Here I am praying to have single ads show up on that ad unit again, and you're praying they disappear off yours.

My earnings dropped by 60% because of this change. I'm trying to figure this crap out, so if you want, PM me and we can try to put mind together to figure this out.

Truth be told, I have been working hard on other ad revenue methods since Google likes to change the game at the drop of the hat for the stupidest reasons.

Yes I have been doing the diversification thing as well with affiliate products, but for my content sites, nothing comes even close to AdSense for profitability, passiveness of income and reliability.

My CTR and revenue seems to be up since the change.

Just so you know i think you can turn it off.

Log into your adsense account and click on Allow and Block Ads at the top of the screen.

Next click on Ad Serving. Uncheck the checkbox for Text Ads. That should bring your ads back to the way they were originally. But i don't know. I haven't tried it.

I tried that but it only turns off the mouseover, hovering effects and it displays the text of the ad. Unfortunately, doing so does not underline the ad titles as before.

My CTR dropped so I started clicking my own ads to compensate.

I've really struggled with this one. Had to tweak my colors on the
ads and sites. Struggling to get back up to normal. Looking up
as time goes by. We'll see.
