Adsense Recommendations

So got the recommendation in AdSense control panel to replace a smaller ad on one of my sites with a bigger one and since doing so, have made less money. Anybody actually see positive results after implementing a recommendation made recommendation?

  • Short answer: No.

    I will say that the bigger ads the better. It's all about placement,
    so a big ad might not fit where your small one was.

    Remember, google knows nothing about how you like your site to
    look, nor how your visitors might feel about it.

    You need to test things on each site. Google wants more people
    bidding. More bidding, more money...for them, not necessarily for
    everybody.
