keyword research

It's been a while since I've done much keyword research. Tried using the new google keyword tool and it just sucks compared to the old tool. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm working on a local/regional project if that helps narrow things down at all. Thanks in advance.

  • The new Google Keyword Planner is actually much better for local keyword research as it allows you to narrow down to a very fine level of geographical detail.

BTW, keyword questions should be in Adsense / PPC / SEO Discussion Forum

  • Try Longtail Platinum. It's not free but it's worth every pennies.
  • What exactly are you looking to do with it? Just saying it is a little vague. If you are just using it for a keyword research tool, then yes it has changed but once you learn to use it, it isn't so bad.

    • I'm trying to locate some low volume, very specific, keywords in a medical niche. I'd like something that will provide or allow for geotargeted returns. I also need the CPC info per adwords. Not trying to do anything shady, just want something more concise than what the new keyword tool is showing me. Is market samurai still around? I've got a license, but haven't used it in ages.
