Backlinks Question

I noticed yesterday in my c-panel I have 5 new links from external sites. They are .ru and irrelevant to my content. Can they hurt my ranking? This is a new site but traffic is growing daily. this is 5 out of 40. Can I remove them? Will they hurt my adsense?

  • check if those links are of bad neighborhood or not.. if yes then diswow them.. else leave them and make auth links..

  • I don't see any possibility of it hurting you except if it comes as a higher rate.

    Once in a while, most sites tend to get backlinks from sites they never linked or requested to link to, it happens, i don't think you should worry about this for now.
  • When I first started out I found a lot of .ru backlinks and I knew they were from dodgy sites but they probably won't hurt you.
  • 5 is not a great number to hurt your website.
