What does fast gaining of backlinks mean to you?

Funny, I actually work at a motorcycle dealership. What a coincidence.

What works is Yelp/ Google Places, but F* Yelp IMO. They are just truly *******s. We are having a-lot of our traffic coming from Craigslist. But now it's a little harder to determine that traffic because you can't use links anymore. So purely tracking numbers like call fire.

This is really pricy, but Verticle Scope owner of all the major forums. Gsxr.com, triumphrat.net, the list goes on and on. They offer PPC campaigns, but within your geographic audience. I tried using the paid forum option, and it doesn't work that well. Plus the dealership hasn't given me much money to play with.

Adwords, still pricy. And the only keywords I have found useful, well actually giving me clicks is motorcycles, motorbikes, used motorcycles. But that could be because I am only running ads within 100 miles of my dealership. It takes me too much convincing to get even $200.00 to spend on adwords, which actually led me into working part time for them and doing SEM sales part time. Still building the pipeline.

I am using youtube. Basically any bike that comes in I will do a walkaround of it running, then upload to youtube, optimize the video, and add the link to the dealership. It brings in only a few clicks. I also add the videos to the site, and to cycletrader. I think it helps our overall presence. The videos are just walkarounds with the remove shakiness option.

I would really like to put a 360 degree dolly into place, basically you get a camera and tripod. And the dolly has 3 wheels, each of them have degrees marked out on them, so you can lock the wheels at 45 degrees then push the dolly and it will do a perfect circle around the unit for sale. Then to make the actual movement around the unit for sale I want to install RC servo motors on the dolly, which would drive the dolly at a flat speed.

Facebook, people really engage with pictures of other people that just bought a bike. Still just another way to help other customers visualize our image.

I would really like to incorporate, renting signature spaces from top posting members in the niche forums. AS our promo's change or clearance sales happen, I would just have the forum user change the sig, and ad my link.

Just ideas. The powersport industry is totally underlooked, and has a lot of potential. Any notes or suggestions, add them here. I am pretty broke right now, need some more ideas.
