Back linking Layers

I understand the concept of back linking in general, and I am pretty sure I grasp back linking in layers in order to protect your money site. Where I get confused is the content your putting out on each layer, as well as which layers are important.

In regard to the content should it be 300-500 range in regards to a web 2.0 layer or 800-1000?

Should it be authored by me / or an alias of me?

When it comes to a tumbr account / blog, can it be my tumblr account or does it need to be someone else's blog that I post an article on?

any ebooks you could suggest that could point me in the right direction of this would be awesome.

Thanks!

  • Layer 1 or layer 2 or even layer 3 or 4,google is figuring out tier link building,I dont understand why people work so hard to create spammy backlinks, one day or another your website will get hit, google is not stupid.

    Good luck with your layers...

    • To be honest, the thought of creating all those layers seems exhausting. I haven't started back linking at all at this point. I am in it for the long hall, with a 3 year plan in terms of any type of good return. I've been concentrating on posting 5-6 800-1000 word articles on my site each week with a goal of building an authority site.

Am I missing out by not having a back linking strategy, or will that come naturally for me through my content that I post on my own site?

The last thing I had planned on posting was anything spammy, my back link content would be as good as my site content. however, in my mind that always seemed like kind of a waste since it wouldn't be on my site.

      i appreciate your help!

  • I wrote a couple of books on this, so when I say I a SEO man, you would agree. Once you get the general idea of how things should be structured. It isn't really that complicated and you won't be caught up in the dual layer confusion.

If you're starting a new campaign on the most important things to do is look natural to have some good diversity and positive public relations on social forums while building your back links.

This information will help you out if you take advantage of it
There's a lot more action say to help but don't want to overwhelm you at the moment as I have been known to do that.
  • Basic tiered link building strategy:

    Tier 1 Links
    • Only high quality, contextual links from authoritative domains
    • 10-15(max)% "money keyword(s)"
    • 20-25% longtail keywords
    • The rest are generic, branding or "naked url" links

    Tier 2 Links
    • Contextual if possible
    • 20% "money" kw(s)
    • 50-60% longtail kws
    • The rest are generic

    Tier 3
    • Use any available link sources
    • Almost all money keywords and longtails
    • Dofollow if possible, but not required

    • SEO is not that hard dude, kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
    • Ridiculous! In another thread you said you are taking clients who are willing to spend 10k/month and now you are talking about keyword diversity??

So you admit you are building backlinks from low quality sources so that diversity is necessary for you? :p
  • I also wanted to know about backlinking layers thanks for this information.
