Still dropping TODAY after penguin 2.1?

Are you guys still seeing drops after October 6?

My site dropped 69 points total across all keywords on until October 6.

I checked the rankings again today, Oct 10 and I am seeing massive drops of 192 over across all keywords

Is it google dance or is it still the aftermath of Penguin 2.1?
Please advise

Thank you

I think it's the after math, I also still see movement although more go up then down.

    I've seen the opposite.
A lot of my niche sites have moved up in the rankings during this updated rather than dropping.

In your case though, I'd probably give it a bit more time for everything to stop fluctuating and then work out a course of action if you are still dropping or don't gain your positions back.

I moved up 100 extra visitors over the last 3 days, which sometimes means your about to get hammered again. If you lost traffic in the last three days, it'll probably stick.

You mentioned getting extra traffic over the past three days since the update. Did you publish about the new Penguin update or maybe blog about a topic that went viral? I'd be interested in finding out how you got a surge of traffic.

Noticeable drops in rankings from page 1 to page 3 + for some keywords. My website URL in the search results keep changing on a hourly basis though (different page every-time you search). Need to wait and see how it'll go

Check your backlinks. My websites with the sketchiest links fell the hardest.

Probably, domains with bad backlinks and spammy contents are ranking down due to this update. There is not much affects been made for my new websites after the penguin 2.1.

I see ton loads of sites moving up. A reshuffle after an initial algo update is common. Of course if your site was hit permanently then those sites moving back up will bump yours down.

Mine stayed the same for the most part with some falling a little and many rising a little. Check your back links. If they are from sites associated with black hat SEO I would request to have them removed (search google to do this) and it should help dramatically.

For me It's going up and down, can't say where it's gonna land, or will it land safe or not.

Google does not dance anymore. It could be Penguin. Here's what you can do:

    - Get rid of unnatural linking
    - Remove hidden text/ links
    - Avoid keyword stuffing
    - Avoid creating malicious webpages/ file
    - Remove purposeful duplicate content across multiple pages/ domains

I am looking many sites which have gone down from 6th october, we can not say anything about those sites. If you have lost all hope and all keywords have gone down then i would suggest you try for one and two months if not success then go for another new domaion.
