Looking for a few good ways for keyword research

I had a few keyword tools a few years ago, but I liked the google keyword tool, so I used it most of the time. But that is gone, and the keyword planner is not a good option in my opinion. I tried my old keyword tools, but they get their results now, from the google keyword planner, and I don't like the results.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, both free and paid.

Thanks
Glenn

Google Keyword Planner has always been helpful to me and it’s pretty accurate, too. I am not sure about what the results brought you, but I think that coming up with the best keywords still depends upon how you will use the highest-ranking ones on your content. You can try giving Google Keyword Planner another chance.

This is probably not what you want to hear, but I've found that by far, my brain is the best keyword tool available. Everyone has access to the keyword tools, so you have to step beyond those and do your own research.

Look up sites in your niche, do searches on similar keywords to the ones they use and so on. Google's autocomplete feature is also a quick way to find out if a keyword gets searched at all: if Google autocompletes it then there is probably some traffic there.

I Like SeoBook. It is free but you still have to register and create an account first. And it gives you daily data instead of monthly. I like that

It is not better to depend on just one keyword research tool, i will suggest to utilize the combination of tools like keyword planner, word tracker and also analysis your competitors keywords.

Keyword Planner is much better than GAKT for local SEO as it allows you to drill down to specific cities or even geographical regions.

I totally agree. And I do not really understand why a lot of people are looking for alternatives to Google Keyword Planner. Well, others might be doing it for verification and I don't know about others but I can really say that Google Keyword Planner is working great for me, at least.

All the keyword tools, without exception, use the keyword planner engine. They just show the results in different ways. Think about it. Where else are they going to get them but from Google itself?
Just go straight to the source and use Google's keyword planner.

Great point. Well, I have nothing against those who use other existing keyword tools. I just think that if you want something simple but accurate, go directly to Google, where everybody else got the idea but tweaked some details to appear a bit different from how the source is performing.

A lot of times i see people seeking for solutions they already have.

    Why is it so?

Is it because they never take the time to explore or don't believe the best gift of life is FREE?

Rule number 1: For keyword tool, use Google Keyword Planner.

Rule number 2: Go back to rule number 1..
