RSS feed and Ping

I heard on an other forum the question I like to ask the seo guys here:

If you RSS feed your blogpost AND Ping your blogpost you are going to be your own competition.
This means you either have to:
- Make your RSS feed "nofollow" (which is contrary to reason I submit the RSS feed) or
- Don't ping the blogpost.

Any opinions on this?

  You can put that off manually.
  But the question was wether it would hurt your seo if you do both.
