Getting Domains for Linkbuilding

Hi,

I wonder what you think about the following approach:

I would like to strengthen my German websites by buying PageRank domains, mainly 4, 5, and 6. As it is either very expensive or almost impossible to get these domains with German content and a .de TLD due to the much smaller market size I see no other way than to acquire .com, .net etc. domains.

After purchase I am recreating the websites associated with these domains using their previous content available via the Wayback Machine. Letting some time pass I am planning to move these websites from their US host to a hoster based in Germany, and eventually also switching the domains to a German registrar.

After more time has passed I am adding German language content to these websites while leaving the English content untouched as presumably the links responsible for the PageRank will point to this content. At a later date I will then put in links into the German pages to my German money sites.

Do you regard this as a wise approach? Or do you see problems in one or several of the steps, in other words:

1) Moving the website from an US to a German hoster.

2) Switching the domain from an US to a German registrar.

3) Adding German content to a website which previously had been in English only.
I would be grateful to get your opinion on this.

Many thanks in advance,
Lagrange

I think you have a solid plan; however, I would remind you that simply copying content from the Wayback machine is a violation of copyright law.

If you're going to invest in PR4-PR6 domains, your likely spending thousands of dollars (American at least, I don't know if our economy is holding up to Germany's right now :confused. Save yourself any risk of a DMCA or similar issue, and invest $75 in some original content. For that price, you should be able to get 8 pages that a well written and similar to the originals (site-wide 301 or simply replace the content on those sites). You'll be adding German content, so thin content will not be an issue.
