Higher word count + quality = Higher SEO results?
- SEO |
So here it is. I made a hub page that had about 1500 words, and I have spent multiple times revising it for at least half decent grammar or better. The results were awesome, I reached page two and three for multiple competitive keywords. However on my blog, which has an article with no more than 3-400 for a wordcount on average only has about 2 or 3 links on page 2 or 3. This is when I have about almost 60 combined posts and pages on wordpress!
So here is my ultimate question: if you have a post or a page that has TONS of high quality content, infographics, with superb quality, and is linking to highly relevant references and resources... will that rank better than a page with much less content but is still doing everything else right?
What I want to do is focus more on increasing my word count within my existing posts to 7-800 or a thousand +, increase the outward links, and ensure great design. Heck, I might even go for 2000 words +. The reason for this is because I want to ensure my link building efforts won't go to waste. Also, I am doing this is because of the hub page example - it was the first time I wrote a page with that much content, and have achieved great results.
Would it be worth spending time on a page where there would be thousands of words with good quality? It's just I'm not confident on my blog's pages as they only have around 300 words.
