PPC & PPV - My Story & My Question

Hi Warriors, I'm looking for some some solid opinions.

I have been in IM for about 3.5 years. I have recently had an incredibly successful run on a free traffic method, that has netted me a substantial amount of money for 2013. Unfortunately Google has banned that account from adsense for violation of TOS. (That's debatable but nothing is really debatable with Big G).

After playing around with other ad networks trying to replace adsense, I'm ready to take my earnings into PPC/PPV/ Paid Traffic.

My expectations is that it's going to be a GRIND. A lot of hardwork and lost money but also that it's extremely profitable and scalable when you get a winner.

I've read a lot of info and product reviews of Traffic Black Book, PPV Guru, etc. but can not quite settle on a program. I believe that a good program will work for 85% of the people that take action and stick with it long enough.

Can anyone who is actually really making money with paid traffic recommend the course they started with. I have $10K to invest and all the time, energy and patience needed to be successful. I will also be blogging about this journey but I would like something that can walk me through the steps to get started....and of course I will have to put my own twists and work in, but it always helps when you start with a solid foundation. I also have no problems if i have to purchase upsells, I understand that's part of the business.

If you can make a reccomedation and tell me how long it took you to get to a profitable campaign that would be awesome. If you have purchased a product and have not had a successful profitable campaign (which I read a lot of people giving positive reviews but not earning) thanks for your opinion but it won't weigh as much.

Thanks in advance for your help
-Capp

It must be a huge pain to try and decide between courses: I'm sure there are some good ones out there, but the problem with CPA courses is that the field moves so quickly that I would imagine that the more elaborate a course is, the quicker the methods it describes goes out of fashion.

I didn't do any paid courses. Rather I studies some free sources of information and received a little direct mentoring (at no cost!) to learn how to generate leads for financial products through PPC traffic.

I would recommend you get a thorough understanding of the basics, but do not spend money on a course.

There are plenty of free sources out there that can teach you about each separate part of the CPA business such as landing page design, AdWords, PPV networks and so on).

An example of such a free source is: PPC Hero’s Beginner’s Guide to PPC

Once you have a site online that you are happy with, your money is much better spent on buying traffic. From this traffic you get data about whether your design and keywords work and you can optimize further.

Soon enough you will probably be turning a profit, but always remember the most important aspect to do this successfully: patience.

    Thank Drop out!

I also found Ken's Rag's to Rich's which was free as well. I will be reading that and PPC Hero. You are right - patience is definitely a virtue.

I have a good job and I also purchased some solid websites during the "good times" to keep money rolling in so I can now take my time and make good decisions.

    Thanks!!

If I were you, I would probably start with Adwords (search) PPC.

If you know the basic things, such as: CTR, QS, Adgroups, exact/broad/phrase/modified/negative keywords & tracking then you are probably good to go. It's not that hard.

Obviously you would burn a lot of money at first, but eventually you will find those winning keywords and in the meantime you can improve your landing page n stuff.

I would suggest you to start lead generation with some serious products, where payouts are really high. I've been doing this for 5 years using PPC (Adwords & Bing) only and I am confident that you can double your investment in no time.

Any questions - just let me know!

    Yes OnlineOnly,

I'm working through Kenster's material. It appears to start from the ground up so I should be well versed in the basics shortly.
