hey guys,
I recently started a blog about 2 months ago and so far I'm getting a consistent stream of over 2000 visits per month, with over 1300 unique visits. I have opt ins utilized and I'm debating on putting up adsense, but am scared that might drive away traffic. Just looking for opinions, what do you guys think?

If you have an idea on what to sell to your subscribers then i would not put adsense on your site. It looks very unprofessional towards your potential buyers. Your list is way more worht then the pennies you would earn from adsense.
    good luck

Maby you can put image only, I think it looks better, that is what I did.
I'm also selling banners, so in my case it looks like a client.

Yes, you are right, adsense will drive away your traffic.
And we know its bad. Better remove it.

ROTFLMAO!!! I see an opt in, and I drive away....

I see ads, and think, hmmmm...what looks good...

      To each his own.

If you think ads drive away traffic, yup, they do. To sites that
are PAYING YOU for the traffic.

I can't imagine that if some opt in nonsense was sooooooooooo
lucrative, then adsense would not even be on the brain...

Obviously, that opt in thingy aint workin' out. Go figure.

Better to earn through list building rather than Adsense

Add an opt-in form on your website or newsletter subscribe option

If you are already earning through your blog, then I think it is better to leave it as it is. We do not know what will be the effect of adsense to your blog. It may break or make your blog. And yes, you are right. There are chances that adsense might drive away your traffic. However, take note that I used the word MIGHT.

Depends on the primary purpose of your site. If it is designed for adsense traffic, then by all means add it.

If your goal is to get optins/conversions, then adsense is probably not a good idea.
