Hello all,

can anyone tell me the reason why my website is not ranking for my brand name itself on google. It is regularly crawled and all the pages are indexed also.

    Hi,
At first, let me know your brand name. If your brand name is "examinationonline" then you have to optimize with your brand name because it is just like a keyword "examination online".
Randomly choose a word and then make it brand. It should not be a common keyword.

Because your brand name is a highly competitive keywords its not something unique. Remember the brand name has have to be a unique to rank for like ebay and when you use a common keyword as brand then surely you need to give it some backlinks.

When I bought PROmotions LLC, it only took a Facebook Page with a link, and about a week until I was number one for the brand name, your name does have 100 million more results though, so you might want to get started on Twitter, YouTube, Google+, Facebook, and Linkedin, and include your link in your profiles.

I have no idea it doesn't really make sense either, your site says it's a PR3, I know that doesn't really matter anymore but it seems that it gets traffic, try throwing your brand name in the Title instead of Custom Examination &........

"Examination Online" is present in title "Custom Examination & Online Testing Solution". Are you telling to put this two words together like "Examination Online - Exam Software". I don't think this will make any difference. By searching "examinationonline" also my website is not showing.

The best brand names are short, easy to remember and most importantly, unique.

Having a common phrase (that is highly searched) as a brand name is not a good strategy.

It was just a suggestion, but yeah, that's what I was saying, make your brand name first.

The number of search results in the index has NOTHING to do with the level of competition. Cannot believe that people still think that is some sort of relevant metric.

Anyhow, the site is on page one. I don't know what the problem is.

I like to think of it as how many results there are for that particular keyword, because that's what it is, it's not in any way the competition level, but it does give you an idea of how many related sites pop up for that keyword.

Also, yeah, it is on the first page...What is the problem then?

It doesn't even tell you that.

"elephants with swollen purple balls smashed by a hammer" returns 9,650,000 results. Do you really think there are almost 10 million sites related to elephants with swollen purple balls smashed by a hammer?

Would you be offended if I used "elephants with swollen purple balls smashed by a hammer" in future explanations? I can change the color of the balls to protect your quote.

I totally get it, I am not going to let my pride get in the way, I see what you're saying....not seeing elephants with swollen purple balls being smashed by a hammer, but I see what your explaining.

Also make the copyright area in the footer to be your brand name and include a date next to it..maybe when building links write the anchor text with capital and together like ExaminationOnline
