Google Adwords Country targeting for affiliate marketing

Hi Warrior community.

Just want to know your opinion and experience in Google Adwords country targeting for affiliate marketing.

I'm trying to promote some affiliate products related to ecommerce and SEO industries and I wonder is it better to target some countries seperatly or does it works rather well if you're doing it worldwide.

The problem is if I target for example USA, the bids cost is really very high and I'm able to get just few clicks. Meanwhile, I can get lots of clicks with worldwide target, but visitors are coming mostly from such countries like Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Ghana, etc. So I wonder does these type of visitors can be worthwhile in such niches.

I just started with my adwords compaign and just experimenting with a small budget. I haven't made any sales yet, just got some free leads.

I would like to get your opininion what should is better to do for me

    I target my customers as accurately as I possibly can, so as not to waste money.

    If you really want to know if India would be profitable, why not make a specific campaign for say Mumbai, Bangalore and New Delhi, and see if your get a profit from it or not.

    The whole world is advertising to the US, sometimes advertising outside of it is a good idea.

    I would never advertise to more than 1 country/campaign as I agree with PBScott that the campaign becomes too unfocused with more countries.

    The way forward is to do as PBScott suggests and do targeted campaigns to test the waters.

    Of course the reason that US clicks are so expensive is because there is a lot of money to be made if you are great at SEO. Fierce competition is not a bad thing, it just shows you there is money to be made.

    I think even such African countries like Ghana or Nigeria can be profitable BUT you must select affiliate campaigns targeted for these countries. If you try to promote some product with strong European orientation for African guy, you will fail.
