Buying a Money Site Domain

Hi,

When buying a money site domain, should I buy a domain that includes my main keyword, an exact EMD or almost exact EMD or should I buy a domain from this niche which already has PR but is not ranking for the keywords you are after?

      What other options are there? Am I missing something. Either buy a niche related domain name or create a new one from scratch.

    If that are your 2 options I would always go for the one that already has PR.

    If that wasn't an option I would still prevent purchasing an EMD or partial one, just figure out a brand name and go for that.

    I always prefer building something from scratch.
    But thats just me.
    Better do your research and find a good domain (emd or not) and be sure its easy to remember and brandable

    I also prefer new one from scratch, I don't want to deal with some odd back link profile that doesn't connect with my site.

    Neither do I want to risk any potential historic penalties.

        I am going for local keywords for a service, so there is no chance of finding such a domain but I can find a domain relevant to the niche. Would there be any point purchasing this domain and using it as my money site or would I better off creating a fresh domain and buying the aforementioned domain to use for a backlink to my newly created domain? Which would be better?

          If you go for local keywords try to find something relevant to you niche and audience.. Be creative and make your own brand... this is the best way to go..

    I think you should not care about PR more. They will not update it more...

    Try to get a domain which contain your keyword. If you have money to push a start-up get a premium domain.

      He has the option of buying a PR domain and it's certainly better than using a new or PR0 sites..

      Despite the fact that PR has not been updated for 7months + it doesn't strip it off it's power....
