1) if I'm trying to rank high just an article page (inside my site) should I go for link building to that exact article page or the home page of my site.

2) If the long tail keyword has searches approx 1200-4000 and the competition is low for example Google + pages are there at top 5. Its worth to make an exact long tail keyword domain name or just an article page is enough, and in both cases can anybody tell, how much link building or money spending (to build back lines) I will be needing, just rough, I know the question is odd itself.

3) Since the requirement isn't so high, pls suggest me small link building wso/gig etc. That appropriate for this.

-----> consider I'm going for 1000-3000 searches per month keywords.

I prefer making backlinks for article pages and then give internal links to other pages of site. The best practice you can do is make backlinks for subpages.

    I vote the article page.

With blogging with Wordpress platform, you can post plenty of articles into it. A long tail keyword is optimized on each blogpost. Each long tail keyword is roughly between 100 - 500 searches monthly, 3 - 5 words per phrase and low competition.

Then do link building toward to each blogpost with SENuke X. Scale it up to thousands of long tail keywords. Then you can make thousands of dollars monthly.

    1) do it to the article page, you will rank it way faster like that

    2) if its really low then there is no point wasting money on the new domain and wasting your time to set up the site, just create a page and optimize it for targeted KWs.

3)Doing backlinking is exactly same as you do it for your homepage (sorry can't suggest any services though, I do it manually)

Short term approach: build backlinks mainly to the article page you want to rank.

Long term approach: point a lot of high quality backlinks to the homepage to build up the site's authority and then use this to rank for multiple long tail terms over and over again.

This second approach is dependent on the type of site - if your site is fairly narrow in its focus then it might be futile to try and build an authority site around it. If, however, your site is broad enough then I'd be building 75% of my links to the homepage to begin with before slowly switching this ratio in favour of any article pages that need a little boost.

    Dude,

Honestly you can rank articles just by making them extremely high quality and unique. Center them around your main keywords but don't get to keyword dense. Make your articles informative and appealing and they will rank, after the Penguin update. I have been ranking articles from just having good quality articles written up. Hope this helps!

On the article page, you want to rank well. Building massive back link for home page is not going to help you out. Don't forget to optimize onpage and Social share.

In my opinion link building to your home page would be the pretty good way to get permanent ranking. But, link building for the article page would be effective for short period of time.
