Yahoo answers as backlinks - if a question is ranking high but is 3YO, will have any significant eff

for several of my keywords, yahoo answers is ranking the highest. If i comment on them and put a link back to my site will it effect my rankings positivly for that keyword?

    I think if you put a link in yahoo answers it is nofollow. but sute, put your link on those page even if just for the traffic!

    They might or they might not affect your rankings but more importantly Yahoo will kick you out of their answers platform so fast should they catch up to you that you will regret spending all that time creating content in the first place.

    I know for a fact (I have an account banned there) that they do not take kindly to links in the answers, unless the links for part of the answer and the answer and link are relevant to the question (which is subject to interpretation and might still get you banned on whims).

    You can continue doing it but don't bet against losing your account there one day, and all the sweat you've put into it.

    Hey man to be honest I went on a little manual link building campaign to test it out, I DID get keyword rankings for the keywords I was promoting but within 1-2 weeks my link was gone lol. Helps for instant traffic most definitely

    Usually Yahoo Answers ranking at the top of the SERPs is a sign of weak competition. Forget the Yahoo Answers link, build some quality links & bump them down the SERPs for your keywords.

      I would right that, Yahoo answers ranking for something means you can outrank them with the same ease as taking a candy from a kid
