The "first page bid estimate" is just that, an "estimate". Your actual CPC is likely to be very different. Also, your bid is multiplied by your quality score to arrive at an Ad Rank Score. A below average Quality Score will require a much higher CPC for the same ad position, due to that relatively low Ad Rank score.

Don't let the seemingly high bid estimate deter you. Work on getting a better Quality score by making sure that you have a good quality landing page, that you ad text and keywords are extremely relevant to your landing page, and that your ad text is compelling enough to get a high CTR. If you do all of that then you will likely improve your quality score.

Now about your selected keyword, is that really a good choice for whatever it is that you are selling? Is that the name of a book or a DVD? Or, is it simply a topic related to what you are selling? If you choose ambiguous keywords or keywords that are not extremely relevant for precisely what you are selling then you'll never get a good quality score and my have little or no traffic due to the ambiguouty, or non-commercial intent in your selected keyword.

What is it that a person is shopping for when they search for "real life vampire"? is that a product or service, it doesn't seem to me that it is, but I'm not an expert in your niche so I would need to do more research to know.

To answer your question, that keyword should not be that high. Post your ad and see what happens, you should be allowed. Try it with exact and try it in broad match.

You will need to have your account for a while and improve your quality score then you will actually get a call from Google and they will help you directly.
