Where do you buy your domain names?

Hello,

I'd like to know where everyone buys their domain names? Are they all about the same price?

Also, what about expired domain names with a page rank? I read somewhere where they are good if you can find them.

Thanks.

      you gotta be kidding mate?

1and1.com is the cheapest around $6.99 for first year, $8.99 thereafter, and they have free domain guard too... godaddy charges a fair ole bit for that as an extra feature.

Domain guard..pretty sure it is the same feature as "domain lock" which is free at Godaddy. Unless I am wrong!

        Right now I can buy a .com $9.99, net $8.99 .info $0.99!

A (dot) info for 99cents can't get much lower than that!

ella2009 just go to each registrar listed in this thread homepage and checked it out for yourself.

Have you checked out the link that I gave you in my previous posting in this thread?

I doubt it is free, unless my biz partner missed it...

he bought a domain and I nearly ripped him a new ass hole. he paid $14.99 for the domain name privacy.... and the business package for 999 pages or some crap like that...

I told him he could get all of that for just 4.95$ (hosting) at host gator... and $6.99 for domain name for first year and $8.99 there after at 1and1.com

I use ResellerClub.com for most of my domains, since they let you brand yourself as the registrar, which can come in handy. Also they have a lot of discounted offers, not to mention free private whois.

I use name, namecheap, and I've got an enom reseller account which I use for one of my webhosting/domain businesses.

All very competitive in pricing and service.

What does a reseller account get you? Better costs for you and affiliate sales?

      Thanks.

The reseller account allows you to integrate your own webhosting/domain management script such as whmcs with the whole domain registration process so that your entire check out can become automated.

.com prices with an enom reseller account are about $8.45.

I register my domains at either Godaddy or Moniker! Just depends on what extension is the cheapest!

As for expired domains this is one of the links that I use olddomains (dot) net (bottom of the page...Alexa ranking, google/yahoo indexing etc)

Hopefully I was of some help!

Oh yes .. that was the initial reason for me to switch to namecheap. And of course the "bonus codes" that are floating around ;-)

    I use GoDaddy and Moniker.

GoDaddy recently suspended one of my domains just because someone reported it and there was nothing illegal on it. They even did not ask. After I lost 2 days with tech support they reinstated my domain since they realized there is nothing illegal on it.

I never had similar problems with Moniker.

Probably will use it more and more in the future.

I'm curious -- any bad experiences with domain.com?

I've been using them from the start, before discovering this forum, and have noticed no one in this thread or elsewhere has recommended them.

    Thanks.

I enjoy using Dynadot. It's easy to look for names that are available. Also if I ever want to sell a domain its easy to push it to another owner.

I use namecheap.com. they offer coupon code, you could find the code just search google" namecheap coupon". Not a huge saving, but you do get little discount.
