Local SEO, am I doing this right?
- SEO |
on-page SEO
host the site on our country's IP address, the current ip is US based
i'm considering on getting a dedicated IP. the current IP is shared with 300+ sites, some of them are spammy
creating a sitemap
removing the '/category' in the URL structure to make it as short as possible
using 1 keyword per page only
placing keywords on title tags, meta descriptions, and H1/H2
using original images only with a keyword on the alt text. the filename of the image will also include a keyword instead of using a generic filename
google authorship on the news and blog articles
find a way to integrate schema on the site
off-page SEO
register the site on google+, google places, bing local, 4square, wikimapia, and yelp
register the site on legit directories (dmoz, yahoo, local directories, online yellow pages)
consitency of NAP when registering to directories
build genuine relationships with sites related to our niche. like maybe inviting the webmasters to events for free in exchange for links/articles about our company
build links with B2B sites, tech sites, local sites, chamber of commerce, local business groups, local newspapers, partners/vendors.
maintaining keyword diversity
so what do you think guys? did i miss anything
