Should it be nofollow or dofollow?

I am going to write a post about Top 10 Forums For Internet Marketers.

I will add most popular forums like woriorforum to that list.

My question is, those links should be no follow or do follow?

I just make all outbound links nofollow myself, the only time dofollow is detrimental is when the page you're linking to is questionable.

If you are going to write it in your website then define it as "no follow",
If you are posting it as guest blogging or other web 2.0 sites you can include those links as "do follow".

  • Dofollow will transfer unnecessary link juice to the respective sites on which you will be writing about. So, it would be better to keep it "nofollow".

You are better off with nofollow links since you avoid passing valuable link juice to the sites you are linking to.

Go for no follow attribute. However, If you are linking out to authority sites then it does not really matter.

The linkjuice is lost whether you are using nofollow or not. There is no reason to nofollow such links. Nofollow is really for paid ads. There are very few other circumstances where it makes sense to use nofollow.

  • The idea of Nofollow link is for untrusted pages, that is for example when you leave the possibility to your visitors to comment and put links in the comments - you are not sure what kind of links will get posted there so you put rel = nofollow to all links in the comments
but, in this case you are saying "Top 10 Forums For Internet Marketers", since are TOP Forums! why nofollow them!?

That's why I posted this thread. There is no doubt that all forum links are trusted link. Even though they are trusted links, I have heard that it is better to add no follow attribute for those type of links also.

Thanks. That means if it is a trusted website there is no problem giving links as do follow links.

What happen I will give ALL external links as no follow links? Is it affect to my blog?

If you are going to post your link in the signature, then it could be both dofollow and nofollow, but don't use too many sites that are DOFOLLOW because this could be dangerous for your website!
