Ok, so I just saw a term of mine get indexed and ranked on the 2nd page immediately, I mean in less than 10 seconds.

Here is what happened...

I just created a new site 2 weeks ago. Just a few min ago I published a new post. Once done I was checking the rate at which my posts were getting indexed. I noticed posts from yesterday and the day before weren't indexed yet.

And while on WMT dashboard, I thought to submit this new post url to the Fetch as Google thing. I did and it fetched, then from there I clicked the "submit to index" button.

I just wanted to see how fast it would index. I checked the serp as soon as I submit the url (literally 10 seconds after), not only it was indexed, but it was ranked on the 2nd page.

Now granted, the keyword is not big at all and has barely any competition (I wouldn't even call it competition). But its in the make money niche and keywords related to this niche are normally hard (er) (compared to some other niches) to rank no matter of competition.

That aside, I have never seen something like this before even for made up keywords (egffheufkv, etc). And the funny thing is that few other posts I published yesterday and the day before aren't even indexed yet.

Have you guys experienced anything like this?

By the way, the image shows "2 min ago", but I saw it literally 10 seconds after it was indexed. By the time I got over the shock cleared cache and depersonalize and use proxy to double check, it was 2 min after.

Anyway, I thought some of you may be interested.

Try clearing your cache let the reverse not be the case, however it's very possible to rank page 1 within minutes. It's all based on lots of factors like competition, on site SEO, domain authority, Google's love you know what i mean e.t.c..

It could be shown on the second page to you only due to cache. Try clearing your cache and then check it. If you know SEO then there are tons of factors which rank your website.

I did the same keyword phrase search as the OP screenshot shortly after this thread was posted, he was indexed & on the 2nd page with the SERP date showing 31 min.

I'm not suggesting page #2 is great, I only see the #1 ranked page targeting that [exact] keyword phrase.

Using the fetch tool in WMT usually indexes pages immediately in my experience.
