Deindexed in Yahoo but not Bing

I have noticed a few of my sub domains on one of my websites being de-indexed in Yahoo but still indexed in Bing. How does that work?
The only way you can get a site indexed in Yahoo is to submit your site to Bing, so im a bit confused.
Has anybody noticed that Yahoo & Bing are acting a little differently lately?
Or better still does anybody know how I can get my sub domains indexed back in Yahoo?

    Yahoo and Bing have their own separate spiders and algorithms that determines de-indexation. They don't rely on the same index.
