Hey guys,
I have an article reviewing products from Amazon. At the end of each review there is a bullet point which was copied from amazon (not actually product im promoting just an example)

Will this affect my rank?
Thanks

Possibly, you may want to re-write the bullet points in your own words to make them unique. It definitely won't hurt to do this.

    But I'm no SEO expert.

    Thanks for your reply!
Ya that's what I thought but my writer did not think so, though I don't think hes an seo expert either. Anyone else have an opinion?
    Thanks

I really don't think it will be much of a problem...

However you can just do a quick spin, and then go back through and rewrite it real quick just to be sure.

Its not that much text, so shouldn't really even take that long.

43/44 words in the bullet points there. I would not spin in this case as they are the things that will draw any potential customers eye.
I don't know if anyoine else does this, but after a scan to see if the product is roughly what

I'm after, I scan the bullet points in some depth - they are where product comparison
    details tend to be.

44 words should take maybe a minute to rewrite? Certainly should be able to convert 50 of these an hour manually, and probably worth the effort to do so.

You will do better if you re-write the details. When I do Amazon product-reports, I focus on honesty, so I will remove all the marketing hype from the details, and just give the most relevant facts that the buyer really needs to choose this product rather than another one, but I like honesty, so maybe that's just me I'd much rather read facts, than hype, and I think other people do too, and my Amazon affiliate sites make money, so I must be doing something right

It's not hard to do. Just rewrite them. Plus, it adds a touch of originality to the post.

I don't think it would harm your SEO in anyway but better to rewrite them in your own words for your own peace of mind.

Hi Michael - for myself, I'd be much more concerned about Amazon's terms of service than about anything to do with Google.

I'm not into Amazon myself, but are those product imports not held within an iframe? <iframe src

Meaning amazon is hosting that content not you. I could be completely wrong here so I shall stop talking...

Actually you can insert that text as an image without worrying to rewrite it. Use a tool that helps to take a snapshot of a marked rectangular area and create an image. Now insert that image into your post. This way you will avoid any duplicate content issues.

Yes, it can cause dup content and duplicate content will lead to decrease in ranking and traffic in Google SERP. So better to have everything in your own words.

IMO If you can't rewrite the points (for any reason), just shuffle the lines.
