The only post in the world with keywords but Google doesn't wanna rank

One of my posts at my blog cravingtech.com is titled "Dyson DC54 review": hxxp://www.cravingtech.com/dyson-dc54-review.html but even then, it's no where appearing at Google's first few pages (even though there are no other sites really with that keywords if you do a search)

Any reason why? (not enough backlinks? coz I barely do any link building). There is no manual penalty by Google, for your information. And the article has already been indexed by Google (if you use the site:cravingtech.com dyson dc54 in Google search)

Talk about Google trying to give the most relevant search results to the visitors?

Your indexed & ranked at position #27 in Google SERPs, position #2 on Yahoo SERPs.

    Build some decent links.

So, I assume do-follow links to the article itself? Or to the blog in general (which then will rank all the posts in it)? This is because all my posts weren't able to rank anymore (unlike last time where almost all of my posts are always on the first Google SERP for some reasons)

Google used to love my site, sigh

    Not true

Both have the phrase in the title

Plus you are ranked number 4 in quotes where I am. However without quotes Google does not look just for the exact phrase so other sites with better links maybe even better coverage of the product and more authority can rank ahead of you with no mystery.

Ah ok. I guess back in the years ago, I didn't need to do any backlinking "tactics" per article and they all would rank first page on Google. Heck, didn't even do any linking and such (some brands did link to me because of my reviews)

I guess it's a totally different game now and you have to work hard getting links for every article that you want the keywords to rank for? Or just any good links to your main page will do?

You have more than enough decent PR pages on your domain to rank that page/keyword in OP.

      Do this:
      1. Get the SEOquake plugin for Firefox (free)
      2. Do a site:domain search with SEOquake running & the Google search results set to display 100 results per search.
      3. Sort the SEOquake results by PR, point links from those old PR internal pages at your new page your trying to rank.

Here's a sample (below) of the 1st batch of PR internal pages with a site:domain search on SEOquake. Looks like you have around 500 more internal pages to check (same process).

      PR4
      PR3

      PR1

      NOTE:
Go slow with SEOquake or Google will do a temp. IP block, you'll know when it happens.

      [edit]
I forgot to mention you can export the SEOquake results to a CSV file, easier on the eyes than looking at 100 Google search results.

Thanks for the tip, Yukon. Looks like I only have less than 10 posts/pages though with a good PR (PR2 to PR4) to fully utilise it

I think I can try putting a few links on my front page's footer to the posts I'm trying to rank for a while (for internal linking)

PM sent with a CSV list of URLs that have PR between PR1 - PR4 (60 URLs).

You won't need them all for that page/keyword in OP but you can use them for future pages/keywords.

OH wow! Either you have too many time to spare or you are a super nice guy (or both)
Thanks, buddy. I've been blogging for 6 years but ever since Penguin hits, I've started to really research on SEO and backlinking. Cheers

Amazing how a great community Warrior Forum is compared to Digital Point. Guess I have found my new home

        Your welcome.

It doesn't take long to get those URLs with SEOquake. I could have scraped/sorted/exported the entire list in about 5 min. If Google wouldn't do a temp. IP block for going too fast on the SERPs. I still had the list done in less than 10 min. I'm a multitasker so I didn't sit there & wait on Google, I'm usually jumping back & forth between browser tabs & different browsers.

If you have anymore older domains you can do the same thing & sort out higher authority pages for helping to rank new pages. I would use my own authority pages before building new external backlinks.

BTW, make it a point to only build quality external links when you go to do any external link building. Don't get caught up in cheap/easy links, it's harder to to fix junk links than it is to get them.
